85% Grenache, 15% Syrah, aged 18 months in French oak. Very deep, brilliant garnet in the glass. Abelard’s rich brooding character lifts from the glass, showing ripe red fruit, black cherry and notes of sweet spice and mocha. On the palate, it is rich and concentrated, with spice and silky tannins bringing structure and depth. The finish is ample and lengthy.
